Our course was designed by pro golfer and internationally acclaimed golf course architect Mark McCumber. McCumber played on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour. He is the president of Mark McCumber & Associates, the golf course design division of MWV Golf. He often serves as an architectural consultant and has been responsible for over forty golf course projects throughout the United States and Japan.

premier putting surface

To provide the highest quality greens on our world class course, we shut down our course during high season in 2018 to rebuild and plant, using TifEagle for Greens, the third generation of Bermuda grass varieties developed exclusively for golf greens. These greens are proven to be a premier putting surface because of the speed, consistency and play-ability it offers. Sand traps use only environmentally sound river sand.

Head of Golf Operations

Byron McCall, PGA

Byron McCallPlease welcome our new Head of Golf Operations, Byron McCall. Byron is a native of Hendersonville, NC and graduated from Western Carolina University. He has been a PGA member for over five years and has worked in the golf industry for over ten years.

Before moving to Georgia in 2015 with his wife, Cristan, and two daughters, Byron worked with Champion Hills Club in Hendersonville, NC and US Kids Golf. He most recently worked as the Head Golf Professional for Currahee Club, after being promoted from the First Assistant Golf Professional during his tenure. 

When not at the golf course, Byron enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and watching The University of North Carolina basketball. He is excited to be joining the Chimney Oaks family and looks forward to meeting all the members, homeowners, and staff!

Daily Rates and Fees

  • Cart Rentals: 18 holes $18
  • Member Cart Rental: Monthly fee $100
  • Trail Fees: $300 (Yearly fee for personal cart.)

Green Fees

  • Weekday Non-Member Mon-Thurs $39 (Includes cart fee.)
  • Weekend Non-Member Fri-Sun $49 (Includes cart fee)
